Apologies, text vanished! Looing into booking a short break boarding in Scotland over xmas for me and my partner. Nothing too pricey as in Andorra in Jan. Not been to Scotlad before. Any advice on where to stay,conditions/snow, lifts etc much appreciated. Both intermediate boarders with our own gear.

Thanks

Best place to go would be Aviemore.

You may not have heard but Scotland's weather can be a bit temperamental. This is why Aviemore is good. There are other things to do in the town if the slope is closed due to high winds.

The have loads of hotels/b&b's/chalets that you can use. I would recommend staying away from the nightclubs in Aviemore. Drink in the Old Bridge Inn. It's a cracking wee place.

Aviemore has some good restaurants and a few outdoor shops. You can also book up other outdoor aventures like climbing, quad biking, etc.
