Last week I made an 1800-mile round-trip drive, from Montana to California. I travelled to Mammoth Mountain, for the US Ski and Snowboard Association's "National Alpine Coaches' Academy".
Mammoth was a little low on snow, by its usually very generous standards, but there was enough for our purposes. It was my first time there for 14 years, so it was good to be back at California's highest-altitude ski area.
