This week we have a slightly different role . . . . it is a full time role and based in London at Tower Bridge.

Don’t worry, we haven’t gone off track and started doing recruitment for call centres or anything, this role is as a Recruitment and Admin Exec for a travel company, which means we are looking for someone who has done a season before, who has recruitment experience and someone who still wants to be involved in the ski industry but now has other commitments which means they can’t be in the mountains for 6 months each year.

In reality it means you can do all things ski for 12 months of the year, oh and do a bit of travelling . . .what are you thinking?

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Reporting and Management Structure

* You will report to the General Manager and Operations Manager

Recruitment of Overseas Staff

* Advertising - co-ordination of the advertising of all overseas positions and third party websites

* Agencies and Job Boards - liaising with 3rd parties

* Applicant Log - logging of all applicants through all stages of the recruitment process

* Applicant Screening - reading of all application forms, cvs and menu plans. Putting forward suitable candidates for interview

* Booking Interviews - liaising with potential interviewees to book interview times and dates

* Pre Interview Paperwork and admin - ensuring all interviewees receive necessary information and all interview rooms are booked

* Interviews - assisting the Operations and General Manager in conducting and running interviews

* Post Interview Paperwork - completing and sending out results and post interview paperwork

* Contracts - ensuring all staff have a full valid, signed contract

* Bonds - ensuring all bonds are received, banked and logged and then paid back at the appropriate time

* Employment Paperwork - maintain all staff files

* References - sending out and collating work references

* Recruitment Events - running and staffing relevant recruitment events

Staff List

* Daily updating of the Staff List to ensure all information is up to date and correct

Pre-Season Paperwork

* A1s - applying for and collating these from HMRC

* Work Permits - applying for and co-ordinating work permits in Austria, France and Switzerland

* Insurance - liaising with nominated insurance provider to set up seasonal cover, provide staff list and see all insurance issues are dealt with during the season

* Enquiries - deal with all enquiries from staff

* Staff Files - collating, completing and updating staff files for resort management teams

Pre-Season and Training

* Travel - booking and co-ordinating all pre season staff flights

* Accompanying Flight - travel with chalet staff to overseas training course

* Assistance - assisting Operations Manager with Management Training Course and Chalet Staff Training Course

Season

* Payroll - production of monthly overseas staff payroll

* Disciplinary - assisting the Operations Manager with disciplinary and grievance matters

* Staff admin - Dealing with any staff admin matters

* Replacement Staff - source and recruit replacement staff

* Staff Travel - booking and co-ordinating all staff travel

* Manifests- ensuring manifests are complete and correct before travel dates.

* Enquiries - dealing with all recruitment enquiries

* Overseas and UK staff support

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience

* Recruitment and HR experience - Essential

* A basic working knowledge of current HR legislation, practices and procedures - Essential

* Writing job adverts, dealing with agencies and job boards - Essential

* Winter season experience - Essential

* Staff management experience - Desirable

* Catering/catering management experience - Desirable

Skills

* HR/Recruitment - The ability to analyse and advise on a range of day to day HR/Recruitment issues - Essential

* Strong written and verbal communication skills - Essential

* Excellent telephone manner - Essential

* Experience of administrative duties - Essential

* Experience of social media - Desirable

* Experience of checking and reconciling accounts - Desirable

Computer Skills

* Ability to use computers for day to day work - Essential

* Word - ability to Mail merge documents - Essential

* Excel - ability to create and manipulate spread sheets - Essential

* Powerpoint - Desirable

Language Skills

* French/German - Desirable

Qualities

* Able to plan and organise own workload

* Able to work to deadlines

* Excellent communication skills and organisational abilities

* Excellent attention to detail

* Able to work well under pressure

* Tactful and diplomatic

* A willingness to become involved in the full spectrum of recruitment and HR management

* Willingness to travel if required
