Charlie Guest takes Australia New Zealand Cup Giant Slalom Title

Charlie Guest, one of Great Britain's most promising Alpine ski racers, has today taken the Australia New Zealand Cup Giant Slalom Title after the final race of the series was cancelled due to bad weather.

The race, which originally ran on Saturday where Guest was in the lead after the first run, was cancelled before the second run then re-arranged for Sunday. But heavy rain and fog meant the race could not go ahead on Sunday either, meaning Guest was crowned as ANC Giant Slalom overall title winner, taking the ANC yellow bib.

Guest said of her win: "I am so happy to have won the yellow bib for the ANC GS overall title. Having start bib 31 in Europa Cup will be a massive advantage. I have made good improvements with GS this summer, so hopefully I can keep this going throughout the European season."
