Our client offers a Beauty Therapy and Massage service to their guests.  They operate over 2 resorts and have different levels of demand over the season, they find the best solution is to recruit qualified therapists who are interested in enjoying a winter season, combining their current skill set (massage therapy) and a housekeeping role.

You would need to be available ASAP through to the beginning of May and previous cleaning experience would be preferred.

Masseuse/Beauty Therapist

We are looking for experienced and qualified therapists to provide massage treatments within our chalets in the French Alps.  You must be smart and approachable and excel in massage.

Brief job description:

  • Providing massage treatments for clients within the chalets.
  • Keeping accurate records of all treatments performed and ensuring correct billing to clients.

Applicants must be fully qualified in Swedish massage plus three of the following; hot-stone massage, sports massage, aromatherapy, Indian head massage or reflexology.

A minimum of 3 years hands-on client experience is essential for all applicants.

You are part of the chalet team and back up to the Chalet Manager.  Obviously, cleaning is a large part of this role, but service and care of our guests is paramount.  Traditionally, the House Angel has taken responsible for the cleaning of the bedrooms and bathrooms and in charge of the linen in the chalet (counting and checking the quality of the laundry service we use). Of course you may be asked to help with other areas of cleaning within the chalet as well.

Alongside your cleaning duties are some hosting duties.  For example: breakfast on chalet staff day off; clearing away afternoon tea; setting fires; closing curtains; helping with dinner set up and serving evening drinks/canapés.

Daily Hours

·         You will work approximately 35 hours per week (3-5 hours per day) housekeeping and providing a welcoming environment for our guests.  These hours are split between the morning and late afternoon/early evening.

·         Our main massage demands are in the evening and these hours vary from week to week.

  • One full day off a week

Of particular note is our staff accommodation.  ALL of our staff ‘live-out’ - this means that you are not disturbed by guests late at night or on your day off.  The accommodation is well-positioned and equipped and for this position is on a shared basis (bedroom, bathroom and living/kitchen areas).
